In this rebranding project for NKD SKN, a self-tanning product line, I focused on redefining the brand identity, packaging, user experience, and art direction for photography. My goal was to create a lightweight, effortless, and uplifting brand experience that reshapes how customers perceive self-tanning, enhancing both its visual appeal and practical use.
Self-tanning is often seen as messy, heavy, and inconvenient. To challenge this perception, the new packaging direction focuses on ease and cleanliness, offering a seamless and intuitive application process.
Inspired by sunlight—colorless, weightless, yet powerful—this redesign captures the essence of natural radiance. Even without direct sunlight, the new design ensures a transformative tanning experience that feels light and refreshing.
To achieve this, the applicator features a spatula-shaped end, eliminating the need for direct hand contact with the tanning lotion. Additionally, the tanning gloves are now waterproof, ensuring that only the replaceable applicator tip absorbs the product. This innovation allows stains to be easily wiped off, keeping the gloves clean and making storage effortless after each use.
