The Gundam Base Mobile USA Tour brought a full-scale retail and fan experience to 14 cities from August to October, transforming parking lots and storefronts into destination events for collectors and casual fans alike. With exclusive model kits, dynamic displays, and the immersive spirit of a true fan gathering, this mobile pop-up turned shopping into celebration.
Fans lined up for hours—and sometimes overnight—for their chance to grab tour-only Gunpla kits and meet other builders. The pop-up created community wherever it landed, bringing the global fandom directly to local fans. Each city became a mini-festival of Gundam enthusiasm, from the vibrant streets of New York City to the heart of Springfield, MO.
Backed by targeted media outreach and a flexible social media campaign, the tour generated 111 pieces of press coverage and over 750,000 social impressions. On-site sales exceeded expectations by 55%, while digital advertising on platforms like Crunchyroll and geo-targeted OTT drove over 6 million impressions.
Instagram Stories and fan posts sparked a feedback loop of content and community, making the tour feel alive in real time. The social team responded daily to fan engagement, reposting, commenting, and amplifying the grassroots energy that defines Gundam fandom.
