Breath and Brushstrokes－Chu Chen Nan Calligraphy Art Exhibit

“Breath and Brushstrokes－Chu Chen Nan Calligraphy Art Exhibition” is a poetic and immersive experience that reimagines traditional Chinese calligraphy through contemporary design.

Held at the Hengshan Calligraphy Art Center in Taiwan, this solo exhibition features nearly 60 works by master artist Chu Chen-Nan. Across five thematic zones—Song of the Airport, Scattered Glimpses of Beauty, Layered Rhythms of the Moment, The One Who Writes the Present, and The One Who Captures Space in Writing—the show transforms brush and ink into light, space, and rhythm.

From mirrored floors reflecting floating calligraphy lanterns to torn paper scrolls reborn in layered walls, each work speaks to memory, presence, and impermanence. Viewers move between intimate writings for the artist’s late mother and bold, large-scale spatial gestures that dissolve language into architecture.

This exhibition is not just a collection of calligraphy—it is a journey through time, breath, and the soul of contemporary ink art.
