“Moment Label & Tag” is an exclusive set of branded goods created specifically for CJ 4DPLEX’s ULTRA 4DX theaters in South Korea. It transforms the act of watching a movie into a deeply immersive and sensory-rich emotional archive. By incorporating thoughtful material, spatial, and experiential design, it elevates the cinematic experience beyond passive viewing and into the realm of memory-making.
ULTRA 4DX is an advanced hybrid cinema format that combines 4DX’s multisensory effects, such as motion, wind, scent, water, and lighting, with ScreenX’s panoramic 270-degree visual projection. This fusion produces an enveloping, dynamic environment that engages the full body and senses. “Moment Label & Tag” captures and reinterprets this unique setting by translating its spatial intensity and emotional impact into printed materials that are tactile, visual, and interactive. It provides audiences with a tangible artifact that commemorates their experience and links them more intimately to the film.
The branded goods consist of two key components:
Moment Label is a foldable card that delivers a multi-layered design experience. On the front, it features a stylized movie poster. The reverse side includes brief story summaries and character descriptions. When unfolded, it reveals a section detailing the specific 4DX effects used in the film. At the center, a three-panel panoramic image mimics the ScreenX format by extending visuals to the left, center, and right, offering a miniaturized yet immersive visual summary of the movie.
Moment Tag is a card-based item designed for interaction within the theater. Viewers can emboss symbolic icons using ink-free stamping machines located in the cinema. These stamps reflect key emotions or scenes, allowing moviegoers to create a personalized imprint of their viewing experience.
Through its creative combination of storytelling, sensory mapping, and audience participation, “Moment Label & Tag” serves as more than just a promotional item. It acts as a lasting monument to cinematic memory. By placing part of the film experience directly into the hands of the viewer, it redefines the relationship between design, experience, and memory within the South Korean moviegoing culture.
