The Forbes Under 30 Summit is an annual event that brings together the world’s top young leaders, founders and creators for four days of connecting, learning and building. JobsOhio, the private economic development corporation that drives job creation and capital investment in Ohio, signed on as the title sponsor of the summit for three years — 2023 in Cleveland, 2024 in Cincinnati and 2025 in Columbus. As the title sponsor, JobsOhio recognized the opportunity to sell Ohio’s value proposition to young entrepreneurs and innovators. Wanting to maximize its investment in the summit, JobsOhio created a digital marketing campaign — “Ohio: The Land of Leaders” — to engage with young in- and out-of-state talent, encouraging them to launch or scale their careers and businesses in “Ohio, The Heart of it All.” Ohio: The Land of Leaders used programmatic advertising, paid search, and social media to drive visitors to a custom-made landing page for the campaign. The landing page featured a video that was played on the opening day before Lt. Gov. Jon Husted welcomed the attendees to Cincinnati. The landing page also featured information about the benefits of living and growing a business in Ohio along with links to JobsOhio’s “Find Your Ohio” page for Ohio companies seeking talent and for out-of-state talent seeking jobs in Ohio. More than 3,000 people (a record number) attended the summit, and JobsOhio connected with them through Ohio: The Land of Leaders. Campaign results included: • 5.7 billion social media impressions • 3,000+ registered attendees, 57% from out-of-state (38% higher than 2023) • 1,300+ 1:1 meetings booked (51% higher than 2023) • $57 million in social media value JobsOhio created a poster featuring the names of the 700 people on the Forbes Under 30 list (“listers”) and gifted each of them a copy. JobsOhio also sponsored an impressive drone show and hosted a lounge for the 700 “listers.” Note: The Ohio: The Land of Leaders landing page has been updated for 2025 since this year’s summit will be held in Columbus. But most of the information is the same as last year.
