New Amsterdam Vodka’s website was outdated, clunky, and disconnected from the brand’s evolving look and feel. With new packaging and a bold commercial set to launch, it was the perfect moment to rethink its digital presence. As New Amsterdam’s longtime agency partner, Moosylvania was tasked with building a site that not only matched the refreshed brand aesthetic but also resonated with its predominantly male audience and created reasons to engage, without relying on e-commerce.
The team dove deep into discovery, evaluating competitor sites within the Bev-Alc category and exploring ideas and opportunities within their digital ecosystems. They also looked at beacon brands outside of the category to explore customer engagement and loyalty, which pushed thinking into bold, yet ownable experiences that would become New Amsterdam’s signature digital moves.
The approach? Lean into New Amsterdam’s longtime tagline, “Find Your Wins,” which celebrates victories big and small. Moosylvania’s creative and development teams designed playful, interactive tools to make that idea tangible. These include:
The Gameplan Wingman Feature, which eliminates the guesswork of going out by offering a “Winning Gameplan” (a fun, spontaneous way to plan your night).
Cocktail recipes also take center stage, with an easy-to-navigate library featuring everything from party-ready drinks with simple mixing instructions to encourage hands-on engagement.
UFC trivia tests fans' knowledge of the sport while flexing New Amsterdam’s status as the Official Vodka of UFC.
The 1-800-Dial A Bro feature serves up hilarious, pre-written texts to rally friends for a night out, because the only thing greater than FOMO is actually missing out.
Visually, the site tied seamlessly to the brand’s new commercial while adding original creative touches: animated bubbling cocktails, scrolling tickers, and other lively motion elements that made the site feel fresh and dynamic. The result didn’t just look good; it invited visitors to stick around and play. Launched Spring 2025 alongside the brand’s commercial, the project delivered on time and brought New Amsterdam’s new brand online in full force. With recent AI Overview changes cutting site traffic, the redesign makes every visit count, delivering an experience that keeps visitors engaged and coming back.
