In 2025, Conferma launched the disruptive Ditch the fax campaign, announcing plans to phase out faxed virtual card delivery. The industry-first move signalled a paradigm shift in corporate hotel payments, generating 1,175,718 impressions and commitment from major industry players – including Wyndham, Omni Hotels, and Mews – to scale Conferma’s API solution.
Described as a ‘critical step forward’, Conferma’s Ditch the fax campaign was a landmark move for the travel payments industry. More than just a marketing initiative, Ditch the fax represented a rallying cry for modernisation in corporate hotel payments. Delivered with scroll-stopping visuals and a bold call to action, the campaign utilised high-end consumer marketing aesthetics to portray the frustrations of outdated, legacy communication technologies in hotel payments.
At the heart of the campaign was a clear problem: fax is not just old-fashioned, it’s operationally flawed. Vulnerable to human error, delays, and miscommunication, faxing slows down hotel check-in processes and creates friction for travellers. This inefficiency directly impacts the guest experience, often resulting in awkward front-desk interactions, payment confusion, and unnecessary stress for both hotel staff and guests.
The impact was immediate. To date, campaign assets have generated 1,175,718 impressions across LinkedIn. Organic engagement reached a CTR of 9%, and website traffic surged, with >10% of all active users visiting the campaign landing page.
Crucially, Ditch the fax drove real change, securing interest in Conferma’s API solution from four major hotel groups, two global PMS providers, and three leading TMCs. The campaign was also endorsed across the ecosystem demonstrating its broad relevance and influence.
This was the first campaign of its kind in the sector, setting a new benchmark for corporate hotel payments. By combining bold creative with strategic timing and ecosystem-wide relevance, the campaign didn’t just announce a change – it made that change impossible to ignore.
