Sony's history began with two great founders.
The origins of being a fun and open-minded factory, has now become an international conglomerate with many diverse businesses.
Sony Square is the one-and-only place in the world where one can experience the whole of the Sony Group.
8 decades since establishment, the company and its businesses have continued to evolve.
Sony Square underwent a major renovation in April 2024 to further contribute to the growth and enhancement of the brand,
transitioning into a “place for co-creation” with creators and business partners.
The experience begins at the entrance, where guests encounter the founders' vision for the future.
The area guests walk into is the Overview Exhibit showcasing the Sony group's current initiatives.
It introduces the “now” of each business—Game & Network Services, Pictures, Music, Imaging & Sensing Solutions,
Entertainment Technology & Services, Financial Services, and Animation,
as well as the collaborations taking place among the group companies.
The unique synergies where technology and content are fused across business boundaries can be seen.
The Core Exhibit guests then walk into, stimulates creativity and imagination through
experiences combining these businesses, technologies, and services.
Under four themes—Boundless Filmmaking / Unleashing Sound Creativity / Immersive Storytelling / Deepening Fan Engagement—
guests will experience the potential of IPs to be born through the power of creativity and technology,
unfold in various forms, and create new, emotional experiences.
There is more to this space. The special demo rooms offer a flexible, versatile space for exclusive,
limited-time demos for special guests. There is also a lounge where creators can freely exchange ideas in a relaxing environment.
The theater, capable of hosting film previews, also serves as a venue for technological experiments and data collection.
This unique and exclusive atmosphere sparks and fosters creativity.
It truly embodies Sony’s purpose of being a creative entertainment company with a solid foundation of technology, and
generates the future possibilities where infinite realities are born through co-creation with creators and business partners.
