About The Entry

3D WINGS is a collaborative visionary project between Inwheel Co., Ltd. and the SouthWest Coast National Scenic Area. It serves as a digital gateway to Taiwan’s precious wetland ecosystems.
1. Visionary Concept
3D WINGS is a pioneering hybrid installation that serves as a digital gateway to the fragile beauty of Taiwan’s wetland ecosystems. By merging high-fidelity digital assets with a bionic physical form, the project creates a seamless "Phygital" (Physical + Digital) experience. Our goal is to transform the traditional, passive act of "viewing" into an active, immersive Experience, allowing the vitality of migratory birds to flourish within a state-of-the-art interactive dimension.
2. Technological Innovation
AI-Driven 3D Biological Mapping: Leveraging expertise in 3D scanning and high-definition video production, we utilized advanced AI reconstruction to replicate the intricate plumage and behavioral nuances of wetland birds with millimeter-level accuracy.
Bionic Industrial Design: The kiosk’s silhouette is inspired by the graceful arc of wings in flight. This design serves a dual purpose: it is both a sculptural tribute to the environment and a functional interface that enhances the user’s sense of immersion.
3. Advanced Contactless Interaction
The system features an intelligent Adjustable Screen Height mechanism. This ensures that visitors of all ages—from children to adults—can align the display with their natural eye level. This precision is vital for maintaining the "Best viewing angle " required for the most realistic 3D depth perception and visual comfort.
Post-Pandemic Public Health Integration: In response to the global shift in public health awareness, the non-touch interface is a strategic design choice for high-traffic exhibition areas. By eliminating physical contact with the facility, we significantly reduce the risk of indirect cross-infection
4. Impact
By integrating "Edutainment" (Education + Entertainment), this hybrid platform redefines how the public interacts with nature. It empowers visitors to transition from mere spectators to informed participants and stewards of the environment. This digital preview allows for a comprehensive understanding of the ecosystem before visitors enter the actual wetlands, effectively promoting sustainable tourism and minimizing human disturbance to delicate habitats.
