About The Entry

The AI Assisted Disability Support Brochure is a public welfare project initiated by the Haidian Disabled Persons' Federation. It aims to provide an annual compilation that connects people with disabilities to cutting-edge AI-powered assistive services, enabling them to easily access technological solutions tailored to their needs, and thereby tangibly improving their quality of life.
Breaking away from the limitations of mere information listing seen in the first volume, this edition centers on the core theme of "AI + Disability Support". Based on the real-world needs of users with disabilities, the typography and color scheme are optimized for those with low vision or color vision deficiency. The cover follows a modern grid system, using the text grayscale of sans-serif fonts and paragraph shapes for composition. In collaboration with special needs schools, Braille is incorporated through debossing and embossing techniques—enabling tactile reading while maintaining an orderly aesthetic, achieving a unity of form and function. The interior is organized into five sections: AI Locomotion, AI Vision, AI Audio, AI Psyche, and AI Enlightenment—corresponding to five user groups: those with mobility, visual, hearing, intellectual, and psychological disabilities. Distinctive colors and dedicated icons provide clear navigation. The cover features a theme-appropriate custom blue spot color, utilizing eco-friendly paper and inks to balance practicality and sustainability.
This project not only serves as a bridge connecting the disability community with cutting-edge technologies, but also achieves a harmonious balance of functionality, aesthetics, and social value through a restrained design language. It stands as a memorable public welfare landmark and a replicable model for future initiatives.
