About The Entry
This project explores how short-form media influences our attention, choices, and sense of control. Inspired by my own experience of spending increasing amounts of time scrolling through short videos, I began to question whether I was choosing the content—or whether the content was choosing for me.
I translated this experience into a board game that simulates the tension between personal choice and external influence. Players are free to choose their own paths, but event cards continuously interrupt their plans, redirect their movement, and influence their decisions, reflecting how media algorithms can subtly shape our behavior.
Through gameplay, the project invites players to experience what it feels like to lose control of their direction, while encouraging them to reflect on their relationship with media and rediscover their own agency.
