Thank you for considering Threshold’s submission for the Muse Design Awards in the Logo Category. This submission includes the new logo for Abrigo and several items of collateral to expand on the brand expression. Abrigo (formerly Banker’s Toolbox) builds solutions that strengthen and automate the BSA/AML compliance and fraud prevention efforts within financial institutions. In creating the new brand, the main goal was to highlight what makes Abrigo unique among their peers in the banking world. In particular, having fun while going above and beyond is a crucial element in their company’s culture. The employees also refer to themselves as “penguins,” using the natural instinct of penguins to huddle together for warmth as an analogy for their own practices of collaboration and teamwork. In this spirit of collaboration, everyone’s opinion matters at Abrigo, and they know that great ideas come from all experience levels. It’s this collaborative spirit that allows their insightful, inspired employees to “Make big things happen.” This spirit of bigness and innovation further defines Abrigo’s office culture and its ways of relating to clients, so we knew this attitude should play a role in the design solutions we brought to the table. Abrigo is not your typical banking solutions provider, and we wanted to communicate their individuality through their brand. The aim was to make Abrigo’s new brand approachable as well as professional, and to convey their depth of knowledge and experience without erasing the personality of the people who are proud to work there. Bright and vibrant colors, iconography, and liberal use of white space sets the Abrigo brand apart from most other banking competitors, and demonstrates their creative approach to having fun while offering their clients the highest quality of service.
