In June 2019, Spokeology was awarded the RFP to provide the Statesville Convention & Visitors Bureau (SCVB) with an integrated marketing campaign to promote tourism to Statesville, NC through print, digital and billboard marketing. Prior to partnering with our agency, the SCVB did not have a campaign to promote tourism. Playing off State of Mind messaging in NC and seeing that Statesville contained the key word STATE, we proposed a STATEsville Of Mind campaign featuring local visuals that represent this amazing small NC town. We took existing visuals that highlighted Statesville events, featured food, history, arts and music - all things that make it a viable destination for visitors (and locals alike).
This campaign has now been applied to 3 billboards seen when directionally traveling into Statesville, in the Visit NC annual tourism guide, across the SCVB website, mobile app, and social media channels as well as within the windows and walls of the Visitors Center.
Moving into 2020/2021 budgeting that begins in July, we have proposed the execution of a photo contest to engage locals to 'Show us your STATEsville Of Mind!" for a chance to have their images featured on future billboards, print & digital marketing. This will allow for the campaign to stay fresh will the messaging staying consistent.
