This is the first release from the rebrand of Blackwater Distilling line. Sloop Betty Vodka was their flagship product and they wanted to maintain the equity they currently had in Betty's pin-up girl look, but create a system that could work on all of their other products. We modernized the design with strong typography and a new illustration style that was stronger, more graphic, and resonated with their target craft-loving audience. Knowing that this design was also destined for retail shelves, we up'd the quality of the printing through textured paper, metallic inks, and a spot UV varnish. A custom bottle was even designed with the logo at the top and the Maryland flag pattern at the bottom as a nod to their company's heritage. Now Betty is a lithe and sexy as ever.
