When the first wave of Covid-19 hit world, we virtually shut down daily live as we know it to come together as a world in stopping the spread of the pandemic. Unfortunately, by stopping daily life, many essential items were also shut down including: delivering food to the elderly, Meals on Wheels and/ or many transportation agencies were reduced to providing services for emergencies only. In many rural communities, this meant that people were living without the essential items needed and in one of the worst cases, a senior couple was reduced to eating all of the leaves in their garden just so they had something to eat. That's why Ecolane teamed up with its 200 plus partner agencies to provide corporate social responsibility. We made our mobile app free to all agency customers for them to use, we ran free webinars on how to use existing resources to provide food and item deliveries safely in their communities. We also scheduled meetings to ensure that the agencies had the ability to use the software to the best of their abilities during this new chapter in our history.
