The All-In Campaign began in December of 2019 as a campaign to encourage holiday shopping in Fairview Heights by featuring local influencers from surrounding cities and continued in to 2020. The initial creative portrayed the high-end, luxurious options that the city had to offer and was promoted through a dedicated website, billboards, social media advertising, print advertising, and an extensive series of videos highlighting the businesses within the city and targeting patrons from outlying cities up to 50 miles away. Each of these marketing tactics led the user to the same place: download the city’s new shopping app, All-In Fairview Heights. The app contained information about every business within the city, including hours of operation, items sold and discounts exclusive to the app. Separated by service or product, users of the app could easily choose to Shop, Eat, or Play in Fairview Heights, select their option, and find out all of the options for those businesses. Over 300 businesses signed up to be a part of this app and create offers for the users.
Just as the campaign was beginning to climax, COVID-19 changed everything. In response we pivoted and changed the campaign from “All-In Fairview Heights” to “Keep Calm and Carry Out All-In Fairview Heights.” During this pivot, we worked with the city to aggressively promote restaurants through their ALL IN FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS App and Campaign while also working with restaurants to receive the proper permits to allow delivery and curbside options that were not previously available at many of the restaurants. The All-In Fairview Heights App and Website were immediately updated, noting which restaurants were offering which services, the new hours of operation, and any new exclusive offers. Because of the efforts of the Keep Calm and Carry Out All-In Fairview Heights Campaign, businesses in the city are surviving through the pandemic, especially restaurants, 9,328 people have downloaded the app and 4,238 offers have been redeemed since the inception of the campaign. The campaign continues to support those restaurants, department stores, event centers and other local businesses through additional video, advertising, and app promotion.
