With the Covid-19 pandemic, many events held in 2020 were cancelled or had to revise their offerings throughout the year and into 2021. Translating these physical shows into a digital version was not always easy or attractive to the audience. Rather than only providing a basic webpage, with a link to PDF and brief information on their products (as so many virtual events were providing to its exhibitors by default), ROHM enlisted EPM to create a virtual 360-degree tour in the form of an exhibitor’s stand that would captivate visitors and boost their virtual presence at trade shows. The project required our in-house web, app and 3D teams to work together to produce an engaging virtual environment designed to wow the client’s target audience. This booth presented ROHM’s latest solutions for automotive and industrial applications across various digital formats. Attendees were able to access 11 informative panels (that expanded with further information inside of each screen), online seminars and presentations, one-on-one meetings, a dedicated press area, videos and more in this virtual tour by traversing across two floors via interactive hotspots. As one of over 200 exhibitors from 25 countries for just one of the trade shows, ROHM’s 360-degree immersive environment was a distinct successful visitor experience that turned heads and showed what could be possible in a virtual trade show. Ultimately presented at two trade shows with a total of over 12,000 online visitors in 2020, an updated virtual trade show booth for 2021 is currently live, adding live video exclusively broadcast only when the show is in action, and an interactive 3D car with readable product highlights and presentations for ROHM's automotive customers.
