As part of our commitment to fostering opportunity for all, we, our social impact program Empower by GoDaddy and Community Partners of the Empower program produced “Made in America.” An episodic docuseries, “Made in America’s” purpose is to further GoDaddy’s mission by showcasing the stories of everyday entrepreneurs, intentionally focusing on the disparity in opportunities and access to resources for underserved communities and populations. The series reaffirms GoDaddy’s belief that entrepreneurship should be inclusive for all.
Our second season of “Made in America” was shot in Atlanta, GA. As one of the fastest growing cities in America, it also has one of the greatest income disparities making it a relevant and compelling backdrop for the series. Each episode dives into the personal, environmental and financial challenges of entrepreneurship and demonstrates the importance of a supportive community, especially during the time of COVID-19.
GoDaddy’s Brand team utilized data and social listening on the launch of our first season of Made in America, which gave us valuable intel and highly positive reactions to our content in 2019. For our second season, we wanted to evolve the series to engage with a broader audience that had not historically looked to GoDaddy or our YouTube channel for narrative-driven brand storytelling.
