EDGE STUDIO

EDGE STUDIO is an architectural design department of Shenzhen General Institute of Architectural Design and Research.

“界”, is composed of "田" and "介", means “畍”, one of the earliest means between field and field ridge, canals, roads, etc to distinguish field ownership and dividing line, meaning is the boundary between field and field.

The "界" is the boundary, and the boundary itself can be a physical entity. For example, a wall is a boundary. It can also be a virtual power boundary, such as the red line of the city, which does not exist in reality, but is dividing the urban form. The finite boundary is founded on the infinite world.

We disassemble the word "boundary" into an abstract form of a field and a boundary, so that the space between the boundary and the boundary can be copied infinitely. So the finite becomes infinite.
