The Vilcek Foundation

The Vilcek Foundation was established in 2000 with the mission of raising awareness of immigrant contributions in the United States and fostering appreciation of the arts and sciences. The arts and sciences need diversity to thrive. Immigrants from around the world bring the diverse perspectives that are crucial to strengthening America’s cultural and scientific community.
The Vilcek Foundation accomplishes our mission by acknowledging and highlighting the many ways that immigrants’ contributions enrich our communities, our culture, and our society. We do this through our prizes program, through grants to nonprofit organizations, and through our art collection and exhibitions. Over the past 20 years, the Foundation has awarded more than $11M in prizes and grants in support of immigrants and those who champion for them.
