It All Starts With Power

GE Power CEO, Scott Strazik, was invited to be a featured speaker at a critical Reuters event: Setting the Global Energy Transition Agenda. While the event would be held virtually, the opportunity was an important one for GE. It was an important global stage with the right audience for GE’s core message. Mr. Strazik spoke on “It Starts with Power: Climate Action and Sustainable Development”. This was a keynote address designed to layout GE’s perspective on de-carbonizing the power sector through its leadership in a Decade of Action on Climate Change and Sustainable Development.
The communications objectives were to articulate GE’s three key principles: Energy Is a Human Right, We Can Act Now to Solve the Climate Crisis, and Winning the Future Together. Mr. Strazik talked in great specificity about the global responsibility to build reliable power networks. He spoke about the opportunity to provide sustainable, affordable and reliable power, while solving the climate crisis with the right mix of technology. He also underscored the need to work together in partnership to meet the goals of the energy transition and secure our collective future.
