Dead Accounts Poster

This is the promotional poster design for Bridge Players Theatre Company's rendition of "Dead Accounts" by Theresa Rebeck.



This comedy centers around Jack, a New York City banker who unexpectedly returns to his childhood home in Cincinnati. His sister, Lorna, and mother, Barbara, immediately suspect that Jack is in trouble, but Jack denies their worries. Their suspicions are confirmed, however, when Jack's soon-to-be-ex-wife Jenny shows up and reveals that Jack has embezzled $27 million from his own bank!



The ice cream container is a metaphor for Graeter's Ice Cream, a popular ice cream chain in Ohio referenced at the start of the play as Jack proclaims that "the best ice cream on the planet is in Cincinnati, Ohio". This also gives new meaning to the term "cold hard cash" as Jack stole the money in actual bills.
