新住民燈組以「共存」、「共生」、「共創」作為策展的發想。以異鄉聚所、故鄉食物串聯台北與世界「共存」。策展團隊邀請新住民藝術家與自己的伴侶進行對話,從自己體驗出發一起共創富有深意的燈組,又或與新移民、新二代一同參與燈飾設計與製作,以每個人心中對於故鄉與臺北新家鄉為題,再經由藝術家內化而出一件件極富「新台北」的共創燈組外,每天更規劃中英日韓越泰印七國語言導覽,由新住民服務,帶給大家深刻的文化體驗。新住民燈區聚集不同國籍的藝術家們,雖然彼此說著不同的語言、擁有不同的文化,但在這片土地上仍可一起聚會、一起美食;一起家庭、一起旅行;一起勇敢,一起追夢,一起種下屬於我們的台北味道。
The New Immigrant Lantern Group takes "Coexistence", "Symbiosis" and "Co-creation" as the concept of curation. The group aims to connect different cultures through a gathering place for immigrants and traditional foods from their hometowns, promoting "coexistence" between Taipei and the world. The curatorial team invites immigrant artists and their partners to have a dialogue and collaborate in creating lanterns that carry deep meaning, and to participate in the design and production of lanterns with new immigrants and second-generation immigrants. Through each artist's internalization of their own hometown and their new home in Taipei, they will create lanterns that are rich in "New Taipei" characteristics. In addition, daily guided tours in seven different languages (Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Thai, and Hindi) will be provided by immigrant staff, offering visitors a profound cultural experience. The New Immigrant Lantern District brings together artists from different nationalities, who despite speaking different languages and having different cultures, can still gather together, share food, share family, travel together, be brave together, pursue dreams together, and plant the taste of Taipei that belongs to all of us.
