"Fun Cheng-Nan: Ke Kui Ke Kuai" is an AR real-world puzzle game that combines smartphones and physical props. The game features various stages that correspond to different stages of human life and incorporates museum’s cultural assets and local history, allowing players to not only solve puzzles but also acquire interesting cultural knowledge.
The game takes place in the region of National Museum of History (NMH) and its surrounding area, where the historical landscape and collection items are transformed into puzzle props. The game combines tangible and intangible cultural assets surrounding the NMH to create a more immersive gaming experience.
This project uses real-world puzzle games that interest young people and enriches the gaming experience with digital technology. This includes the "Karmic Mirror," created using WebAR image recognition technology to find the answers for each level, and using smartphone GPS to determine the player's location.
The museum attempts to incorporate its collection into the shared life experiences of Taiwan's young generation to design the game and attract non-museum audiences aged 18 to 35, creating a unique museum experience and promoting continued social participation.
