How big would your feet be if they were as BIG as your carbon footprint?
That’s the question behind our latest campaign for New York’s Clean Heating and Cooling program. The campaign features a man contending with the challenges of living with oversized feet and how NYSERDA can help shrink his carbon footprint.
The multi-channel statewide campaign was enhanced through activations where Big Feet ambassadors (runners wearing giant shoes) took over the summer running scene. The “runner” selected was a social media influencer, and the promotional plan included other micro-influencers, race sponsorship signage, and public relations. Event footage was captured and posted live to social media feeds throughout the race, and geo-targeted mobile banner ads were used to build further awareness around the event.
The activation campaign resulted in a 16-point increase in consumer understanding of ways to heat and cool without fossil fuels.
