Link Logistics’ philosophy is that economic growth must support the environment, advance social progress and prioritize responsible corporate governance. As we lean into energy transition, renewable power, carbon neutrality, social impact, community partnerships and unassailable governance, we have designed our sustainability program to disrupt the status quo and accelerate decarbonization through a focus on value-oriented, practical sustainability—and we are on track to achieve carbon neutral operations by 2025. Formed by Blackstone in 2019, Link Logistics is the largest U.S.-only owner and operator of last-mile logistics real estate, serving more than 10,000 customers across key U.S. distribution markets. With more than 5 percent of U.S. GDP flowing through our portfolio, which spans over half a billion square feet, we connect consumption, technology and the supply chain. Our ambitious sustainability program is outlined in our 2022 ESG Report. Designed and written by in-house Sustainability, Marketing and Communications teams, the report captures the company’s unique value-driven approach to sustainability. Notable Link Logistics milestones featured in the report include:
Environmental:
• Benchmarked 175 million square feet of space through EPA ENERGY STAR® Portfolio Manager® —allowing the firm to measure the environmental impact of its buildings—and became the first-ever industrial real estate company to receive the ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year recognition.
• Committed $4.75 million to The Nature Conservancy and the American Forest Foundation to support conservation projects that remove carbon from the environment and support family landowners.
• Completed 14 million square feet of LED lighting retrofits, decreasing energy consumption and improving light quality.
Social:
• Established its Community Grants Program and distributed $2 million to infrastructure projects across the U.S.
• Supported 100 nonprofits through charitable donations and volunteerism, with employees volunteering thousands of hours through the nonprofit CoreGiving™ to provide more than 650,000 meals to those in need.
Governance:
• Established a Data Governance Committee to lead and leverage data accumulation.
• 100 percent of Link Logistics employees completed annual compliance training.
As we work together to achieve our sustainability goals, we remain committed to our culture of innovation, collaboration and belonging.
