göt2b, Henkel’s leading color & styling brand stands for self-expression, celebrating our differences and inspiring people to be whoever they want 2b. In recent years, cyberbullying has become an issue close to the heart of the brand, because of the effect it has had on many of its young customers. So, on June 17, 2022, during Pride Month and on National Stop Cyber Bullying Day, göt2b teamed up with youth non-profit Ditch the Label (DTL) to host the first-ever Virtual Self-Expression Summit with the purpose of raising awareness about the issues GenZ and Millennials face online, create a safe space that celebrates individuality, empower those struggling with different experiences, and promote freedom of true self-expression.

At this free, free festival-style experience held in the metaverse, attendees heard stories about the power of resilience from a group of mental health advocates, LGBTQ+ activists, educators, influencers, and celebrities known for their outspokenness. TikTok superstar Avani Gregg; Actress, Tati Gabrielle; Actor, Writer, and Director, Alexis G. Zall; Educator and Author, Blair Imani; Public Speaker and Social Media Activist, Matthew Joseph Diaz; Lifestyle Content Creator and Mental Health Advocate Steven Sharpe Jr.; and DTL Founder Liam Hackett each took the stage during the two-hour event to help attendees tackle subjects like how to live your truth and be authentic. The speakers also shared their own experiences with bullying and discussed how they overcame challenges on their journey to self-expression.

During the summit, attendees were able to connect with each other and the panelists in a variety of spaces throughout the virtual festival grounds including an outdoor amphitheater, a set of zen domes, and an intimate auditorium. In between programming, guests could explore custom tents that contained resources provided by Ditch The Label to further their knowledge on cyberbullying and how to break the cycle or visit a styling truck to virtually try on all of the incredible hair color-changing products göt2b is famous for.
