This project revolves around the concept of green screen, ubiquitous in film and TV, as symbolic tools that both reveal and conceal, acting as stand-ins that manipulate reality. Drawing inspiration from experience in the online gaming industry, I employs "chroma key" technology in my artwork, blurring the lines between space and time, reality and fantasy. The green screen becomes a metaphor for the unseen tech shaping our perceptions, questioning the authenticity of news, history, and evidence. I likens daily news to household tools, creating a visual representation with newspapers and green elements, suggesting how information can be twisted by those in power. It's even an act of spontaneous brainwashing on our part when we use these household tools. The global significance of media manipulation is highlighted by incorporating newspapers in various languages, touching on issues of censorship, disappearing words on the internet, and government control over website access. The project prompts reflection on the influence of powerful entities on what information is presented, echoing Alina Mungiu-Pippidi's observation that news media is either directly controlled by the government or influenced by politically related interests.
