Lauded as ‘The Tesla of Water Purification’, the company formerly known as GAST Clearwater wanted a total brand overhaul to better reflect its disruptor status. With Magnetic Creative’s help, a new era of GAST Clearwater began with a new name: VVater.
Replacing the W with a double-V gives the industry innovator a familiar yet avant-garde presence. It makes a statement about wanting to push boundaries and change perceptions of what’s accepted. But a new name was just the start. A fresh identity, modernized visuals, and streamlined videography followed.
Upon determining its new moniker, Magnetic proceeded to revitalize VVater’s identity. The Visionary Hero persona emerged as a fluid match due to the brand’s relentless determination to change the world. Its newly defined persona also inspired an updated tone of voice that embodies boldness, confidence, and a global commitment to empowering humans with clean water.
Next, Magnetic overhauled VVater’s visual identity. Its past style on par with contemporaries, the rebrand called for a cleaner, tech-inspired aesthetic that tried less and told more. Overall, its refreshed art direction is one of understated, futuristic elegance that speaks directly to the brand’s ambitions.
For VVater’s latest logo, Magnetic’s designers opted for a contemporary and utilitarian look. Like its name, the logo features a unique double-V fusion instead of the standard W. This strengthens brand recognition without distracting from the logo’s overall sophistication. The sub-mark, reminiscent of a water droplet and upside-down V, pays homage to the brand’s use of electricity (think voltage) in its proprietary electroporation process.
Magnetic’s final rebrand deliverable involved a series of videos created to explain advanced water treatment solutions. Our videography and motion graphics teams combined 3D animation and B-roll, delivering digestible yet robust video content equipped with copy overlays that clarified particularly complex subject matter.
Even a tight deadline couldn’t stop Magnetic from making a splash with VVater’s rebrand. Not only did Magnetic elevate VVater’s position within the water purification industry, but it also set a new benchmark for how similar forward-thinking brands can effectively win attention, communicate their mission, and impact the fight for a cleaner, healthier planet.
