Cyano Planet

This is a modular exploratory educational toy that utilizes biological media and electronic sensing technology to inspire youngsters' hands-on exploration, break the constraints of thinking, expand the boundaries of science, and emphasize the creation of life combining biology and electronics.
The development of adolescent creativity should focus on breaking boundaries and providing more openness. Inspired by cyanobacteria, we hope to use its biophotovoltaic characteristics and combine them with computer technology to encourage youngsters to create their own livingbot - the Cyano Planet Life - in a modular way. Each module can utilize a certain biological mechanism of cyanobacteria, and through freely combining different input-output modules, create unique functions and effects.
Cyanobacteria is still widely considered a harmful organism that pollutes the environment and needs to be eradicated. However, we encourage youngsters to participate in this innovative process and express the dialectical relationship of things. Through experiencing science, youngsters can break their stereotypes about things, try new possibilities from different perspectives, and experience the transformation from negative to positive in creation.
