Tales of the Valiant introduces a new ruleset for Dungeons and Dragons, 5th Edition. The objective was to capture the ambiance of a medieval tavern, featuring a mystical gameboard that would come alive, immersing players in their adventures. Emphasis was placed on infusing the gameboard with an analog, handcrafted aesthetic while preserving fantastical elements. The collaboration of creative 3D modeling and animation, expert voicework, well-crafted scripting infused with humor, and a collective passion resulted in a captivating journey through the enchanting realms of this magical tabletop game board.
The final product successfully conveys the essence of engaging in a tabletop roleplaying game with friends, bringing to life the vivid imaginations of players. Kobold Press expressed great satisfaction with the outcome, and their Kickstarter campaign proved immensely successful, accumulating a total of $1,151,914 in pledges from over 10,000 backers.
