The refreshed brand identity draws inspiration from the aesthetic of vintage posters, evoking a sense of nostalgia reminiscent of the ambiance found in local record shops. This resonates deeply with Bandcamp's community—a collective of independent artists and local brands, all united by their profound passion for music. The new identity emphasizes the intimate connections between artists and their audiences, setting Bandcamp apart from its main competitor, known for its vector-based and meticulously crafted style.
The secondary serious of posters are designed for artists and music lists on their website. The typography used in this secondary identity is more vibrant and expressive, aiming to create a festive atmosphere.
