Designed for dust, born from dust - A product launch film for the cult eyewear brand Heat Wave Visual and its groundbreaking venture into the motocross goggle market.
Inertia Studios was appointed to craft a CGI film that captures the essence and adrenaline of the sport whilst simultaneously showcasing the stylish form of the product. In a landscape mostly dominated by already established brands, we aimed to create a scroll-stopping film that stands shoulder to shoulder with the giants.
Anchoring our audience in the heart of an electrical sandstorm, a lightning strike exploding into violent, swirling dust reveals our hero product. Whilst suspended in time, we capture premium product close-ups that celebrate the unique details and design features of the goggles, as incendiary flashes of lightning pierce through clouds of dust and debris. The speed and energy of motocross permeates the film with dynamic cutaways implementing CRT style filters and in-camera effects, harkening back to the nostalgic aesthetic at the heart of the brand.
The success of the spot hinged on audience engagement, so we strategically added a visual hook right from the start. Opening with a dramatic and powerful lightning strike, we instantly captured viewers' attention. This electrifying moment served as a cinematic opening which, when coupled with tantalising glimpses of the product, enabled us to craft a sequence that not only piqued curiosity but ensured a memorable and impactful viewing experience from the very first frame.
The hero launch film was reinforced by a series of teaser films designed to build hype and anticipation for the drop, along with curated product renders for ecommerce.
