Sanofi, an innovative global healthcare company, reinforces its global communications strategy with a tailor-made sonic identity: “Miracle Dots.” It followed a rebranding initiative in 2022 that unified the company under one visual identity and a new corporate brand.

The new sonic identity had to express the brand’s purpose: “chasing miracles of science to improve people’s lives” and a new graphic system based on the “dot”. It drove the creative process and helped meet the brand’s goal of infusing innovation, passion, and humanity into the sonic identity.

“Miracle Dots” was inspired by Chopin's Études, which combine musical substance and technical challenge to form a complete and unique artistic work. The creative process also explored the inner workings of our brains: the left hemisphere – home to logic, rigor, language, etc. – and the right hemisphere as the realm of creativity, imagination, emotion, and empathy. The agency skillfully harnessed these capacities in a composition where the left and right hands respond to each other in a mix of syncopation and musical codes.

“Miracle Dots” embodies a delicate balance between research and inventiveness, a tightrope between simplicity and complexity. It is an ode to science, expressing Sanofi’s brand personality: human, accessible, curious, direct, and courageous. The sonic identity adds an extra soul to the brand’s communication worldwide.

In a regulated industry, Sanofi demonstrates its ability to leverage the power of sound to take on demanding challenges.
