The Milwaukee Bucks Graphic Design team embarked on an NBA All-Star Campaign to rally public support for our players to join the esteemed NBA All-Star team, coinciding with the game in Indianapolis, Indiana. Inspired by Robert Indiana’s renowned 1977 Milwaukee Bucks MECCA Court, a symbol of basketball history, our design pays homage to Indiana's influence. Notably, the Bucks' collaboration with Indiana in 1977 fused pop art with basketball, resulting in the iconic "Court that made Milwaukee famous." Indiana's New Castle roots infused the court with bold colors, geometric patterns, and playful typography, emblematic of his signature style and the broader Pop Art movement. This connection to Indiana enriches our campaign, capturing the vibrancy of the MECCA Court, the audacity of Pop Art, and the enduring basketball traditions of the state.
