2024 Taoyuan Band Festival

The 2024 Taoyuan Band Festival was held at Taoyuan Arts Plaza in Taoyuan City. The series of events included five large outdoor music concerts, as well as three thematic music stages and three market areas. The theme of the event centered around showcasing the diverse aspects of the bands.
The opening performance featured the Tao Yuan Symphonic Band, and also cooperated with calligrapher Chen Ming Ging、Hsu Juan Yueh、Chen Yu Jie and new media artist Zi-Ping TIAN , while the closing performance featured the Taoyuan 10-School Joint Wind Ensemble and the Pancaragam SJAM SMK Paduka Tuan from Malaysia performing a grand musical performance by a 100-piece wind ensemble. The spotlight of this year’s Taoyuan Band Festival was the Osaka Shion Wind Orchestra, conducted by the maestro Douglas Bostock. Three thematic concerts were selected by the Call for Entries program for cross-boundary production, including “Wave Movement” by the Tao Yuan Symphonic Band; “Melody of the Treasure Island: Listen to Taiwan from Taoyuan” by the Kaohsiung City Wind Orchestra; and "Hero Gathering of Taoyuan" by Long Tan Philharmonic Orchestra, the TAIWAN TOP TEAM of the Year for 2023-2024.
