The packaging adopts a flat design with vibrant colors, creating a super visual symbol of the product - a super large/giant apple. This allows the packaging to serve as a recognizable visual symbol in any different forms of shelf display in the later stage, making it easier for consumers to identify and remember the product. On the level of brand recognition, it also helps to accumulate brand visual assets, enabling the brand to achieve its marketing goal of reinforcing memory through repeated exposure.
On the main image of the packaging, I included a blessing message on the apple, 'May all the good things come to you as you eat/enjoy this apple', which aligns with the common belief of Chinese consumers that apples symbolize the wish of 'peace'; The apple prominently displays the longitude and latitude of its origin to showcase the high quality of the product, while the water droplets on it offer a more intuitive sense of freshness to the consumer.
In terms of box design, I aimed to create an interactive experience by using a uniquely shaped opening; Upon opening the box, consumers will see a detailed hand-drawn image that conveys the joy of a bountiful harvest. Opening another layer reveals the window of an airplane with apples rolling in. The first window shows the growth process of the apple, while the second image depicts the apple in its mature stage. The entire unboxing process tells a complete story to consumer - from the professional cultivation of the apple to its harvest, and finally, its swift delivery to their hands by air. ; This narrative expresses the brand's commitment to deliver high-quality apples to consumers in their freshest condition.
The box design and all the accompany visuals are closely connected, telling consumers the complete story of the apple's journey from growth to being freshly delivered. . Through these visuals, a complete and interesting interaction with consumers is achieved, fulfilling the design objective of letting the packaging speak for the product and engage in a dialogue with the consumer.
