For the 2023/2024 football season, I had the honor of designing a special three-part kit for NAC Breda, paying tribute to the city’s liberation led by General Maczek and his 1st Polish Armoured Division during World War II. The reason for this tribute is that on October 29th, 2024, Breda will celebrate 80 years of freedom since its liberation. This project wasn’t just a design challenge but a heartfelt homage to the freedom enjoyed by the citizens of Breda.

Each of the three kits is designed to reflect different aspects of this historic connection. The home kit honors the 40 Polish soldiers who sacrificed their lives during Breda’s liberation, while the away kit celebrates the lasting bond between Poland and the city. The third kit, set to be released, features a historic image symbolizing the enduring connection between NAC Breda and its liberators.

A football kit is one of the most profound ways to express a club’s culture, reaching a diverse community of all ages and origins. My goal was to create a vision that the entire NAC Breda community could embrace. By creating a themed kit, NAC Breda can express this vision throughout the season, allowing the club to organize events and collaborate with local foundations, amplifying its social impact.

This kit is not just about football but about honoring those who gave their lives so that we could live freely. Through these designs, I keep the memory of these brave soldiers alive for future generations.
