TIAO TOU Culture and Art Town is a cultural and creative treasure located in Zhongtai Street, Yuhang District, Hangzhou, China. Its brand VI (visual identity) design centers around local rich cultural and distinctive sectors and draws inspiration from the geographical environment and deep historical and cultural heritage. This VI integrates the concept of "Artistic Life". The two initials "T" of the brand "TIAO TOU" are used to build a triangular shape that symbolizes the mountain range and the town's characteristic Ren (people)-shaped architecture. The "T" structure takes the form of bamboo joints, interpreting the status of the bamboo industry in the region and highlighting the town's role as a cultural drive. In addition, this VI design mimics the Chinese character Zhong (crowd) overall and is reminiscent of the letter "A" of "ART", blending artistic characteristics and the people-centric concept.
During the planning and design process of this VI system, we deeply explored the cultural essence of the TIAO TOU Culture and Art Town, aiming to create an influential literary and artistic characteristic neighborhood. With this goal in mind, we planned to build a cultural and artistic market town integrating culture and creation, commerce and art, and created a human-centered and talents-oriented VI system. This unique VI system vividly conveys the town's characteristics and values.
In terms of innovation, we skillfully combined regional culture, architectural features, and industrial elements to form a unique and modern brand logo. As for functionality, this VI strikes a chord between Eastern and Western cultures through the unified visual image from symbol to Chinese and English, enhancing visual recognition and brand impression.
This VI design, with its unique visual aesthetics and originality, greatly expands the influence of TIAO TOU Culture and Art Town. Thanks to its distinctive design and cultural connotation, this VI system becomes a cultural symbol of the town, continuously boosting the innovative development of the region and the construction of a beautiful town while showing extraordinary charm in the field of culture and creativity.
