This series of poster designs draws core inspiration from the City’s Study in Longhua District, Shenzhen. The aim is to showcase their unique cultural atmosphere and reading environment through creative visual expressions. The City’s Study blend books with urban elements, underscoring the link between reading and city development. We hope these posters will encourage more people to join in and experience the joy of reading. The vivid hues and clean lines merge books with city buildings, each volume transforming into urban structures that outline a skyline rich in literary culture alongside Shenzhen landmarks such as China Resources Headquarters and Diwang Tower. This unique visual representation not only captures attention but also conveys the harmonious coexistence of reading and urban development, highlighting the intimate connection between city culture and literature. It constructs an inclusive, forward-looking, and innovative cultural ecosystem. This design not only illustrates the exterior and distribution of the city's study rooms in Shenzhen's Longhua District but also highlights their multifunctional services. Beyond providing reading spaces, the city's study rooms host regular art exhibitions and cultural salons, making them ideal venues for citizens' leisure and learning. Through the text and imagery on the posters, the city's study rooms are reimagined as "Cultural Lounges," transcending the traditional library concept. This clear presentation of their versatility inspires a passion among residents to visit the city's study rooms and enjoy reading.
The city's study rooms in Shenzhen's Longhua District, through a "government + community" co-construction model, have achieved comprehensive coverage from residential areas to industrial parks. Citizens can find cozy reading nooks within a few hundred meters' walk, creating a unique cultural landmark for Longhua. The silhouettes of people depicted in three posters convey the concept of "reading anywhere, anytime, by anyone." This not only showcases Longhua's efforts to promote universal reading but also reflects how reading has become an integral part of urban life, collectively fostering a rich atmosphere of "Scholarly Longhua."
