Enerjisa Enerji Earthquake Animation Film
The devastating earthquakes that struck Turkey on February 6, 2023, deeply affected five cities where Enerjisa Enerji operates, directly impacting 4,500 employees and their families. In response, the company activated crisis management and communication processes, meticulously documenting every action taken. This effort aimed to ensure the safety of employees and their families in the region while documenting the extensive efforts to restore the electricity infrastructure. To mark the first anniversary of the earthquakes, an animation film was produced to shed light on the events of the past year from a unique perspective.
The earthquake animation film was created to commemorate the anniversary of the Kahramanmaraş Earthquake, ensuring that the solidarity and resilience displayed in the region are not forgotten. The film highlights the support provided before, during, and after the disaster by Toroslar EDAŞ, one of Enerjisa Enerji’s three distribution companies, responsible for electricity distribution in Adana, Hatay, Gaziantep, Osmaniye, Kilis, and Mersin. It conveys messages of hope and unity for the earthquake-stricken cities and their residents.

The target audience for this project is broad, including everyone in Turkey who feels the pain of the earthquake, with a particular focus on the affected employees of Toroslar EDAŞ and Enerjisa, over 7 million users served by Toroslar EDAŞ, and all communities impacted by the disaster.
The core idea of the project is to visually and emotionally depict the solidarity and struggle in the region through an animation film, highlighting the support provided by Enerjisa Enerji, its subsidiaries, and employees before, during, and after the earthquake. It emphasizes the solidarity between the company and the local community, showcasing the company’s role throughout the disaster.

The entirely hand-drawn animation film comprises 22 scenes and was brought to life after more than 600 hours of drawing. Created by a creative team of eight with extensive experience in national and international projects, the film was completed in just 12 days following storyboard approval. Utilizing the parallax animation technique, the production emphasized realism and aesthetics, with photographic references used for specific scenes before moving to illustration.
