Taipower D/S ONE is Taiwan’s first green energy exhibition hall, designed as a platform for Taiwan Power Company to connect with society and showcase its green energy brand. "D/S" represents the innovative concept of transforming "Distribution/Substation" into "Design" and "Sustainability," reflecting Taipower’s ambition for brand reinvention. This year, it was honored with the LINE Biz-Solutions Awards 2024 Best ESG Award!
In addition to the original immersive wind power experience, 2024 signifies a year of renewed commitment to green energy sustainability. Taiwan Power Company has specifically incorporated immersive VR footage of hydropower generation to symbolize its unwavering determination in advancing sustainable green energy.
D/S ONE emphasizes Taipower's commitment to sustainability and innovation. Through advanced aerial photography, the project highlights the value of the Dajia River Power Plant and Da-Guan Hydropower Plant, showcasing the science behind hydropower generation, the benefits of pumped-storage systems, and the harmonious integration of hydropower facilities with surrounding ecosystems and landscapes.
By integrating a six-axis robotic arm with 360° VR videos, visitors are offered an immersive, first-person experience that deepens their understanding of hydropower generation, reinforcing Taipower’s vision of sustainable development and environmental responsibility.
Technically, we integrated FPV drone-captured 360° VR footage onto a robotic arm, resulting in an unexpectedly immersive experience. The combination of tactile sensations and visual effects creates a realistic flying sensation, providing an on-site experience that leaves children amazed and excited.
This immersive 360° VR robotic arm experience is the first and only installation of its kind in corporate museums in Taiwan. It has hosted numerous international government officials and corporate guests on behalf of Taiwan Power Company, receiving highly positive feedback.
