Art Hall, meaning “The Hall of Fine Arts” sought a visual identity that would capture the vibrant spirit of modern art without veering into the realm of the overly intellectual, dark, or distant. Instead, they envisioned a world brimming with color, freshness, and a sense of dynamic change; an identity that felt lively, accessible, and ever-evolving. As a cultural holding company with diverse subsidiaries, Art Hall needed a cohesive brand system that could unite its varied ventures under one harmonious visual language.
Our design approach drew deeply from the rich architectural and artistic heritage of Iran. We found inspiration in traditional Iranian perspectives, capturing the essence of architectural elements such as hashtis and grand halls, translating these into a contemporary visual narrative. Our primary challenge was to create a unified DNA for all brands within the Art Hall family while maintaining the flexibility needed for each entity’s unique character.
We integrated geometric surfaces and patterns derived from Iranian and Islamic architecture, giving them a modern twist through thoughtful reinterpretation. We also crafted a consistent design language for the logotypes, ensuring a natural and balanced coexistence when displayed together.
The Art Hall ecosystem comprises multiple entities:
Art Hall functions as a cultural institute, hosting vibrant art events. Its identity embodies the overarching spirit of creativity and collaboration.
Artibition, both a physical and online gallery for buying and selling art, leans into the digital space with a pixelated design aesthetic.
Art Chart, dedicated to art news analysis, embraces the visual language of data.We incorporated graphic elements such as charts, graphs, and numerical motifs to underscore its analytical nature.
Smart Auction, a platform for art auctions, required an energetic and rhythmic design. We infused this identity with dynamic visual patterns to reflect the excitement and pulse of the auction experience.
Recognizing that Art Hall’s primary audience includes artists, we created a brand world that is vibrant, trend-conscious, and far from the confines of a classic or traditional approach. By grounding our designs in the depth of Eastern architecture, painting, and art, we struck a balance between modernity and cultural authenticity.
