This project collaborates with the Market Administration Office of the Kaohsiung City Economic Development Bureau, introducing design thinking through conceptual planning to optimize market environments, enhance brand identity, and attract more visitors. By implementing a unified identification system, improving visual planning, and incorporating modern spatial configurations and marketing strategies, markets will evolve beyond mere places of transaction into public spaces with cultural significance and tourism appeal.
We aim to extend Yancheng Market’s design aesthetics while integrating Kaohsiung’s local culture and unique market characteristics to create a cohesive visual identity enriched with local narratives. Through logos, colors, spatial design, and wayfinding systems, we will unify the individuality and shared elements of various markets, enhancing recognition and community identity. This approach ensures that traditional markets retain their original warmth while adapting to modern demands, paving the way for sustainable development.
