To celebrate it?s 33 1/3rd anniversary, McHale Design conceived a self-promo campaign inspired by the music of 1985; 33 1/3rd Greatest Hits, a full-size gatefold cover opening to a vinyl record that you spin to reveal landmarks in McHale Design's history. A limited edition 33 copies were created and shipped at the 33 1/3rd year mark of 2018, supported by 33 1/3rd social media posts counting down the 33 1/3rd Greatest Hits of 1985 (as voted by McHale Design) culminating with a bonus Spotify playlist.
The tactile experience of opening an album cover and touching vinyl grooves while engaging streaming and social media symbolized McHale Design?s philosophy of honoring enduring brands and history while embracing new trends and technology.
