2025 Yunlin Eco Lantern Festival

The 2025 Yunlin Eco Lantern Festival promises to be a captivating urban art event that brilliantly transforms sustainable concepts into impactful actions. By merging Taiwan's vibrant traditional festivals with contemporary tourism and cultural initiatives, this festival offers a unique blend of humanities and arts. Attendees can look forward to immersive interactive experiences, innovative educational programs, sustainable development initiatives, technological advancements, and the cultivation of talent.
Moreover, the festival’s curatorial content is thoughtfully designed to highlight six critical Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): “quality education,” “affordable and clean energy,” “sustainable cities and communities,” “responsible consumption and production,” “climate action,” and “sustainable partnerships.” In addition to this, the festival strategically organizes exhibition zones that reflect the three dimensions of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria. This approach not only enhances the attendee experience but also resonates deeply with the community development ethos of “three lives as one,” which encompasses the interconnected themes of living, producing, and ecology.
Ultimately, the 2025 Yunlin Eco Lantern Festival aims to inspire and engage all participants, encouraging a collective commitment to sustainability and artistic expression.
The exhibition area is thoughtfully organized into three main sections: economic, environmental, and social, each designed to highlight a unique aspect of community engagement. The overarching goal is to not only promote local industries and foster creative lifestyles but also to emphasize the importance of ecological conservation and environmental education, while showcasing vibrant social participation and a strong sense of community spirit.
Delving into the exhibition, visitors will encounter a diverse array of artworks. For instance, pieces that celebrate rural culture, such as “Gukeng Celebrates the Prosperous Years of the Snake” and “Music, Flowers, Shenzhuan Rice, Happy Haisali,” serve as a tribute to the rich traditions of the area. In contrast, other works like “The Window of Sky,” “Bamboo Heart Fulfilling a Dream,” “Meeting between Mountains and Rivers, Love for Yunlin Creek,” “Echoes of Bamboo Mountains,” and “The Origin of Qinkuajiao” poignantly highlight the connection between landscape and historical memory.
