In January 2025, Biotherm and Pure Perfection transformed a normal houseboat into an exclusive winter spa retreat on the water to launch Biotherm’s new Hydra Barrier Cream. Over five days, 40 handpicked influencers were invited to experience the product through an intimate, four-stage wellness ritual. Designed to protect, strengthen, and hydrate the skin during the harsh winter months at the Pop-up Hydra Barrier Spa Boat.
Under the campaign tagline #FaceTheColdWithBiotherm, the event turned the challenge of cold winter into an opportunity for emotional brand storytelling. Surrounded by wild winter nature, the boat which is mainly used during summer became a floating winter spa – showcasing Biotherm’s commitment to skincare innovation in an intimate, high-impact setting.
With sauna and ice plunge on deck and workout and retreat area inside, the experience was structured as selfcare journey with nordic spa rituals:
1. Workout – A branded warm-up session to activate the body and prepare the senses.
2. Sauna – Deep recovery through heat and steam to detox and open the pores.
3. Cold Plunge – A bold ice bath or a jump into Berlin’s icy Wannsee to boost circulation and immunity. #FACETHECOLD
4. Hydration – A calming facial by a Biotherm expert, introducing the Hydra Barrier range in a moment of deep relaxation.
The small group format ensured authenticity and personal engagement, allowing non-paid influencers to generate mindful content in a relaxed and beautifully curated environment. The spa boat’s interior and exterior were fully customized, featuring branded skincare zones, Biotherm wellness elements, and cinematic visuals that mirrored the product’s hydrating power.
The result: highly engaging, organic social content that blended winter wild nature, personal selfcare, and visual storytelling. The Hydra Barrier Spa Boat wasn’t just a launch – it was a floating product experiences, where physical sensation meets emotional connection, and skincare becomes a journey in the wild.
By merging immersive rituals with striking design and a powerful narrative, Biotherm’s spa boat created an unforgettable brand moment that resonated both offline and online—face to face with the cold, and Biotherm.
