Ascentek, the parent company of Lube-Tech and Reliable Plus, needed to modernize its digital infrastructure to better engage customers, streamline operations, and enable scalable growth. The legacy B2B portal for lubetech.com was outdated, with limited transactional capabilities and a cumbersome user experience. Additionally, Reliable Plus lacked any eCommerce functionality, requiring a ground-up solution to launch an online sales channel.
To address these challenges, Codal led a strategic digital transformation leveraging BigCommerce B2B Edition and its multi-storefront capabilities. Through an in-depth discovery process—including stakeholder interviews and ecosystem analysis—Codal validated BigCommerce as the optimal platform, ensuring it aligned with Ascentek’s business goals and technical requirements.
Codal implemented a unified multi-storefront architecture that delivered tailored digital experiences for both Lube-Tech and Reliable Plus while maintaining brand cohesion and operational efficiency. For Lube-Tech, this meant modernizing the interface and enabling direct B2B sales. For Reliable Plus, Codal created an entirely new eCommerce experience optimized for its customer base.
Key features included advanced customer dashboards, sales rep “masquerade” functionality, and flexible custom themes. The new digital ecosystem consolidated operations, supported direct online sales, and provided scalability for future brand expansion—including the potential integration of other Ascentek entities.
Despite data complexity and shifting timelines, Codal maintained transparent communication, navigated technical hurdles, and delivered the project within budget. The result was a successful 18-month engagement that marked Codal’s first deployment of BigCommerce’s B2B Edition with a multi-storefront configuration.
