Busan’s Haeundae, a world-renowned destination where sea and cityscapes form a dynamic harmony,
has been officially designated an “Outdoor Advertising Free Zone.”
This groundbreaking decision—the first for any region outside the capital—signaled a new era for regional media.
As the first to illuminate this vibrant district, Grand Josun Media became Haeundae’s new landmark.
To capture the public’s attention, we created two spectacular media shows: Luna-Sol and Grand Vertical Stage.
Luna-Sol is a media art show with a strong public art identity, captivating audiences through the dynamic yet gentle movements of its most iconic symbols—the sun and moon. Displayed on the colossal 31-meter vertical LED screen, these celestial forms transformed the billboard into a symbolic object in its own right. The narrative weaves in subtle, locally inspired motifs—seagulls, turtles, and fireflies—creating a deeper connection with viewers. This blend of technology and artistry establishes Grand Josun Media as a cultural landmark, redefining the urban landscape and celebrating the spirit of Busan.
For its launch, GRAND VERTICAL STAGE pushed the limits of digital content.
More than a performance, it became an immersive spectacle that united a massive digital screen with a live EDM show.
To heighten audience immersion, we collaborated with Just Jerk, a world-renowned Korean dance crew.
Their raw, powerful choreography was filmed using Virtual Production technology, enabling seamless integration with a 3D digital stage. This advanced technique delivered a realistic, dynamic environment and an unparalleled viewing experience.
The result: The launch drew thousands of visitors to Haeundae Square despite severe weather conditions, with search volume surging more than 18-fold compared to the day after launch for Haeundae Square. The campaign generated over 1.5 million social media views, rapidly going viral across platforms, and attracted extensive coverage from both local and national media outlets.
Both Luna-Sol and GRAND VERTICAL STAGE created a cultural spectacle that transcended entertainment, connecting people with the city.
This firmly positioned Grand Josun Media as a cutting-edge cultural platform and an enduring symbol of Haeundae.
