Call of Duty NEXT 2024 was the ultimate showcase for the launch of Black Ops 6, bringing the franchise’s global community together for an interactive, multi-platform experience. Set in Washington, D.C., the National Building Museum was transformed into a fully immersive Call of Duty headquarters, inspired by the game’s espionage-driven storyline. Attendees navigated themed mission zones, cracked codes, uncovered secrets, and experienced live-action challenges that blurred the lines between game and reality.
At the heart of the venue stood an awe-inspiring three-story Mega Abomination zombie, a towering, animatronic recreation of one of the franchise’s most fearsome enemies. Alongside it, a Call of Duty motorcade procession and cinematic set pieces brought the Black Ops world to life in vivid detail.
The event reimagined what a game reveal could be. Instead of relying on a single broadcast, hundreds of top gaming creators streamed their own perspectives from inside the experience, giving fans worldwide the ability to choose their viewpoint and interact in real time. The result was a dynamic, community-led moment that felt personal to every viewer.
On-site, guests had hands-on access to the latest Call of Duty gameplay, participating in competitive matches and content capture sessions designed to share the action instantly across social platforms. Surprise moments — from unexpected live stunts to unforgettable fan interactions — kept energy levels high and made the experience truly one-of-a-kind.
COD NEXT 2024 proved that a launch could be more than a reveal. It became a global cultural moment that celebrated the passion, creativity, and scale of the Call of Duty community. By merging immersive world-building, live entertainment, and creator-led storytelling, the event set a new standard for interactive game showcases and reinforced the franchise’s position as one of the most influential forces in gaming.
